Lipo-6 Review
A brief overview of Lipo 6
Lipo 6 is an oldie but because of crackdowns in the weight loss industry, the makers of Lipo 6 had to “tweak” the ingredient profile a smidge. The product used to be one of the best fat burners on the market when it contained Ephedra.
But Ephedra, as we all know, was banned in the US several years ago, so now Lipo 6 really should be just be called Lipo 5 because there’s no Ephedra contained in the product. But the ingredients that are left over are decent, and while it’s not quite as effective as it used to be when it contained Ephedra, those other 5 ingredients still make it a formidable fat burner.
The five main ingredients inside Lipo 6
200mg Caffeine – this stimulate promotes mental alertness and has a mild diuretic and appetite suppression effect. Caffeine is about the basis of every stimulating diet pill on the market.
20mg Guggulsterones – the supplement is taken from tree resin native to India and is thought to stimulate the thyroid gland and increase thermogenic activity.
3mg Yohimbe – comes from the bark of a tree in West Africa. Yohimbe has been shown to decrease fat synthesis in the body by increasing fatty acid mobilization.
20mg Synephrine – Known as Ephedra’s inferior but still effective “chemical cousin”. Synephrine releases adrenaline and noradrenaline only in the beta-3 receptor sites. Stimulation of the beta-3 receptor sites elicits the breakdown of lipolysis (fat).
5mg Bioperine – is an extract of black pepper and harvested in India. It has no direct effect on fat burning but has been shown to enhance the bioavailability of several vitamins, minerals, and herbs. It hasn’t been shown to enhance the absorption of any ingredients in Lipo 6 but is still not a bad ingredient to include in the overall formula.
Our take on Lipo 6
As we mentioned, the ingredients aren’t bad but the basic downside to Lipo6 is the price tag. It’s a little bit more on the expensive side. It retails for close to 50 bucks for a 20-30 day supply depending on your dose.
You can buy it for around $25-$30 on ebay, which makes it more affordable. It’s sorta of like the perfect storm. For some reason, the 5 ingredients still work very well together, and in fact, there really isn’t much drop off from when it contained Ephedra. Bottomline is this: if you want to lose weight, Lipo 6 can help you do it.
